Eight months later, police finally named four men. The arrests turned up more than guns.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the February shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White at a Mission District nightclub, San Francisco police said on Oct. 14.

San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew said the four were taken into custody between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9 with help from law enforcement agencies in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and the California cities of Stockton and Irvine. The arrests came more than eight months after the shooting, which happened just after 4 a.m. on Feb. 9.

Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House, California, has been charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm, with allegations that he personally discharged a firearm and personally inflicted great bodily injury. He also faces counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a concealed firearm by a felon and possession of a loaded firearm by a felon.

District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said prosecutors sought no bail for Walker, citing the public safety risk they say he poses. A judge ordered him held without bail on Oct. 14.

Curtis Green, 35, of Irvine, California, faces misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and carrying a loaded firearm in public. Green and Walker were booked into San Francisco County Jail on Oct. 12. At their first court appearance on Oct. 14, Green was ordered released and Walker's arraignment was set for Oct. 19.

The other two men, Marquis Davis, 38, and Antoine Washington, 36, were arrested in other jurisdictions and are not yet in San Francisco custody. Jenkins said they will be charged once they are brought to the city.

A private party in the downstairs VIP area

White, 27, was hosting a private gathering in the downstairs VIP area of the Dahlia Club, on the 1700 block of Mission Street, when the shooting happened. Super Bowl LX had been played the previous evening at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, the 49ers' home field, where the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots.

Lew said multiple armed suspects "confronted" White inside the crowded club. The confrontation turned physical, shots were fired, and White was struck in the ankle.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and had surgery, the team said at the time. The injury was not life threatening.

Investigators pieced the night back together using surveillance video and statements from witnesses who were at the party, Lew said. That is how police say they identified the four men.

Prosecutors say Walker fired a gun

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Walker on Oct. 9, two days after the first three arrests, and he was transferred to San Francisco.

"Mr. Walker, and a second man who is pending charges, are alleged to have fired their guns, resulting in the injury to Mr. White. Mr. Green was also armed and is alleged to have brandished his own firearm," according to a release from the San Francisco District Attorney's office.

The release cited court documents. None of the allegations have been proven in court, and all four men are presumed innocent.

Jenkins said at the Oct. 14 news conference that she would announce charges only for Green and Walker, because they were the only two booked into the San Francisco County Jail. Walker's attorney, Jeff Wozniak, said his client is innocent.

Green's charges are misdemeanors

Green was arrested Oct. 7 at his home in Irvine on a warrant tied to the shooting, authorities said. He was then taken north and booked in San Francisco alongside Walker.

The counts against him are all misdemeanors, and none of them accuse him of shooting White. Prosecutors allege he was armed during the confrontation and displayed his weapon.

The gap between the two cases is wide. Walker is facing a felony assault count with a great bodily injury allegation plus three separate felon-in-possession counts. Green is facing three misdemeanors. Prosecutors have described different alleged roles for each man in the same incident.

Atlanta arrest turned up a gun and nearly 15 pounds of drugs

Atlanta police arrested Davis on Oct. 7 at his Georgia residence on a no-bail warrant connected to the San Francisco investigation.

Officers recovered an illegal firearm at the home, along with 820 grams of MDMA, 1,026 grams of methamphetamine, 979 grams of cocaine and 3,842 grams of fentanyl, San Francisco police said. Combined, that is close to 15 pounds.

Authorities have not publicly linked the drugs seized in Atlanta to the nightclub shooting. The seizure happened while officers were serving an arrest warrant tied to the case.

In Georgia, Davis was charged with multiple counts of trafficking of controlled substances, multiple gang-related offenses and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to a release from the Atlanta Police Department. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail. His San Francisco charges had not been announced as of Oct. 15.

Davis attorney says the allegations are unproven

"Marquis Davis is presumed innocent of all charges. The allegations against him remain unproven, and he is entitled to the full protections of the United States Constitution," an attorney for Davis said in a statement to ABC News.

The statement added that Davis "will be vigorously defended in court, and we will not comment on the evidence, the investigation, or the charges while the matter is pending."

Attorneys for Green and Washington have not been identified publicly.

A loaded gun, oxycodone and $6,691 in Stockton

San Francisco police officers and deputies from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office took Washington into custody on Oct. 7 in Stockton, also on a warrant connected to the shooting.

During that arrest, officers said they recovered a loaded firearm, more than 120 oxycodone pills and $6,691 in cash.

San Joaquin County Jail records show Washington remains in custody there on a dozen felony charges. Like Davis, he has not yet been charged in San Francisco.

"The San Francisco Police Department and District Attorney's Office are working with other jurisdictions to arrange for Davis and Washington to be brought to San Francisco," the DA's release said.

They called it Operation D-Line

Law enforcement called the months-long investigation Operation D-Line.

The case involved more than 50 search warrants and assistance from over 250 law enforcement personnel across the country, authorities said. It stretched from California to Georgia before producing arrest warrants for all four men.

Investigators seized multiple firearms and close to 15 pounds of narcotics across the arrests, police said. The four suspects were picked up on no-bail arrest warrants in California and Georgia within a three-day stretch.

The investigation is not finished. Police are still asking any witnesses or victims to come forward.

White has not missed a game this season

Eight months after taking a bullet in the ankle, White has played in all five of San Francisco's games this season, starting four of them for the unbeaten 49ers. He has three sacks, nine tackles and a fumble recovery.

The Georgia Tech product was drafted in the second round by New England in 2023 and traded to San Francisco in October 2025. He is in his fourth NFL season and his second with the 49ers.

Across 52 career games and 24 starts with the Patriots and 49ers, White has 109 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 31 quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

His recovery from the February surgery was complete in time for the start of the 2026 season. The criminal case, meanwhile, is only now reaching a courtroom, with two of the four men booked in San Francisco and two more waiting to be transported there.
